ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not
at the top of the graduate-school mountain, but there in the sandpile at Sunday School. These are the things I learned:
Share everything.
Play fair.
Don't hit people.
Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess.
Don't take things that aren't yours.
Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat.
Flush.
Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
Take a nap every afternoon.
When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
Be aware of wonder.
Remember the little seed in the styrofoam cup:
The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even
the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die.
So do we.
And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.
Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living.
Take any of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or your government or
your world and it holds true and clear and firm.
Think what a better world it would be if all - the whole world - had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments
had a basic policy to always put thing back where they found them and to clean up their own mess.
And it is still true, no matter how old you are - when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

VŠECHNO, CO OPRAVDU POTŘEBUJU ZNÁT o tom, jak žít, co dělat a jak vůbec být, jsem se naučil v mateřské školce. Moudrost mě nečekala na vrcholu hory zvané postgraduál, ale na pískovišti v nedělní škole. Tohle jsem se tam naučil:
O všechno se rozděl.
Hraj fér.
Nikoho nebij.
Vracej věci tam, kde jsi je našel.
Uklízej po sobě.
Neber si nic, co ti nepatří.
Když někomu ublížíš, řekni promiň.
Před jídlem si umyj ruce.

Teplé koláčky a studené mléko ti udělají dobře.
Žij vyrovnaně – trochu se uč a trochu přemýšlej a každý den trochu maluj a kresli a zpívej a tancuj a hraj si a pracuj.
Každý den odpoledne si zdřímni.
Když vyrazíš do světa, dávej pozor na auta, chytni někoho za ruku a drž se s ostatními pohromadě.
Nepřestávej žasnout. Vzpomeň si na semínko v plastikovém kelímku – kořínky míří dolů a rostlinka stoupá vzhůru a nikdo vlastně neví jak a proč, ale my všichni jsme takoví.
Zlaté rybičky, křečci a bílé myšky a dokonce i to semínko v kelímku – všichni umřou. My také.
A nikdy nezapomeň na dětské obrázkové knížky a první slovo, které ses naučil – největší slovo ze všech – DÍVEJ SE.
Všechno, co potřebujete znát, tam někde je. Slušnost, láska a základy hygieny. Ekologie, politika, rovnost a rozumný život.
Vyberte si kterékoliv z těch pravidel a řekněte to složitými dospělými výrazy a vztáhněte si na to svůj život v rodině nebo práci, na svou vládu nebo svůj svět a uvidíte, že to platí, je to jasné a sedí to. A představte si, oč lepší by byl svět, kdybychom si všichni – na celém světě – každý den ve tři odpoledne dali koláček a mléko a pak si lehli a zdřímli si s polštářkem pod hlavou. Nebo kdyby základní politikou všech vlád bylo vždycky vracet věci nazpátek a uklízet po sobě.
A stále ještě platí – bez ohledu na to, kolik vám je let -, že když vyrazíte do světa, nejlepší je chytit někoho za ruku a držet se pohromadě.
As of attendance:MU study and examination regulations Section 9, paragraph 2: Full-time students are required to attend teaching activities with the exception of lectures and consultations.
Paragraph 6: A student has the right to a minimum of one unexcused absence per semester from compulsory teaching activities in a given course; this does not apply to intensive courses or specially scheduled courses (section 9, subsection 4). In case a student utilizes the right described in the first sentence, he/she must meet in-term assessment requirements or other conditions associated with teaching activities in a given course, if so prescribed. A higher number of absences may be stipulated by the teacher if so permitted by teaching and study-related conditions.
Paragraph 7: A student is obliged to provide a written excuse letter to the faculty Office for Studies justifying his/her absence within five workdays of the teaching activity he/she was absent from.
Na téma docházky: Studijní a zkušební řád Masarykovy univerzity Čl. 9, odst. 2: Účast ve výuce je pro studenty prezenční formy studia povinná s výjimkou přednášek a konzultací.
Čl. 9, odst. 6: Studenti mají během jednoho semestru právo na minimálně jednu neomluvenou absenci v povinné výuce daného předmětu; toto neplatí v případě předmětů, které vyžadují blokovou výuku nebo výuku se zvláštním časovým průběhem (čl. 9 odst. 4). Pokud student využije právo uvedené ve větě první, musí splnit požadavky průběžných kontrol nebo jiné podmínky výuky předmětu, pokud jsou pro daný předmět předepsány. Vyučující může stanovit i vyšší počet absencí, pokud to umožňují podmínky výuky a studia daného předmětu.
Čl. 9, odst. 7: Student je povinen písemně omluvit na studijním oddělení fakulty svou neúčast do 5 pracovních dnů od termínu konání výuky, jež je omlouvána.
