Werner von Siemens Prize

Every year, Siemens, s.r.o. announces the Werner von Siemens Prize, which is aimed primarily at students and young scientists, as well as teaching staff. The aim of the competition is to reward the authors of the best student and scientific papers and university teachers focusing on all technical disciplines and natural sciences, and thus contribute to the development of Czech higher education, science and research. You can apply in following categories: the best diploma thesis, the best disertation thesis, the best pedagogic worker, the most significant result of applied research and others.

You can submit your application from August 1st, 2022 till November 30th, 2022.

Scholarship to study in Bavaria for a year


The Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency (BCAA) calls for application submissions for a scholarship to study in Bavaria for a year. This stipend funds your studies in Master's and Ph.D. programs at Bavarian universities. The scholarship can be extended up to 3 years.

For more information, look here. On Thursday, October 27th, 2022, you can attend an online event, "To study in Bavaria," where you will learn more about the study opportunities in Bavaria and the scholarship programs of BCAA.

Applications for the academic year 2023/24 can be submitted till December 1st, 2022.


 

Georg Placzek Scholaship 2022 - for first-year students

The Association of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists, Brno division with Placzek Family Foundation, and DELONG INSTRUMENTS company announce the George Placzek Scholarship for 2022. This scholarship is for high-schoolers from Czechia that graduated in 2022 and the same year are accepted to study physics at a renowned university with an accredited physics program anywhere in the world, including the Czech Republic.

Have you just started to study physics at our university? Were you successful in the mathematical or physics Olympics, or do you have experience in physics popularization to the general public? Are you capable of writing a short popularization text about physics? The Georg Placzek Scholarship is for Czech students that graduated high school and started as first-years at universities with an accredited physics program.

Mendel Doctorandus Award Programme - for PhD students

The MMD program is suitable for new and current PhD students in the 1st - 4th year of study.

It offers financial support, interdisciplinary training and activities, an extended internship abroad, and an internationally recognized certificate. MMD is to be a prestigious label acknowledging and bringing additional credits to the best PhD graduates and their supervisors and doctoral programs at MUNI. MMD label (including the recognition of the European Doctorate) is provided as a supplement to the official MUNI doctoral diploma recognizing thus the significant assets of the student and PhD program.

Martina Roeselová Memorial Fellowship - for young scientists with pre-school kids

The Martina Roeselová Memorial Fellowship helps young scientists in the field of natural sciences balance competitive scientific work with high-quality care for preschool-age children.

Stipends are awarded for a single calendar year in the amount of CZK 150,000. They are intended for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows conducting competitive research at universities or research institutes in the Czech Republic who are the primary caregiver of a preschool child.

Brno Ph.D. talent 2022 - pro doktorandy

This competition is for PhD students from four Brno universities. The stipend will win 25 of the best applicants, persuading the committee about their exceptional results and the quality of the submitted science project. Brno Ph.D.

Brno Ph.D. Talent offers long-term financial support in the form of a stipend of up to 110 000 CZK a year for three years. Do not hesitate and join the competition.
