2024 Garden Festival

This year's Garden Festival will be the 20th and also the last. The Botanical Garden will no longer continue to host this event. Come say goodbye on Thursday, August 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. You can look forward to the traditional show of the Ladies Hat Club Dantes Radka Chabičovská. This year the theme will be fashion during World War II in the USA and the work of Christian Dior. The colors chosen are tricolor: blue, red, and white. The Botanical Garden will prepare a stylish floral decoration.

Feel free to come in themed attire! Your style and beautiful hats contribute to the unique atmosphere of the event. The jazz band Ivančický Dixieland will play for listening and dancing. A group of "time-tested musicians," whose energetic music blends Moravian wine and New Orleans jazz will perfectly complement the theme and atmosphere of the end of this traditional event.

The 7th annual Sculptures Among the Flowers exhibit also takes place during the Garden Festival. In the garden and the greenhouses, artworks by students of the AS1 studio of the FaVU BUT created under the guidance of Prof. Michal Gabriel and Tomáš Medek are on display. At the same time, one of the largest water lilies in the world Victoria has already grown nicely and started to bloom. It blooms only at night. The Garden Festival is the only occasion in the year when you can see the blooming flowers of this special plant. The seed of the Lodoitia palm, one of the largest in the world, will also still be on display at the time of the Garden Festival.

Full admission for the evening is 300 CZK, reduced 150 CZK. Tickets will only be sold on-site. It is possible to pay by credit card.
