Darek Cidlinský – Acoustic waves in a time-varying waveguide

We consider an acoustic wave propagating in a rectangular waveguide with little tubes (of varying sizes) attached to the bottom of the waveguide. By placing the tubes at suitable places, the acoustic wave can be manipulated in various ways. We have been looking into what happens if we allow the size of the little tubes to vary in time. I'll talk about a couple of interesting effects that appear due to such a time variation.
