Physics in Business 2023 – SHM, s.r.o. - Šumperk

We cordially invite you to the eighth lecture from the F5900 Physics in Business course. Dr. Vjačeslav Sochora will speak about SHM company in Šumperk, the only Czech company with research and development in PVD technologies. The SHM company owns its patents, international publications, and presentations. In the Czech Republic, it holds and operates the largest coating center.

Dr. Vjačeslav Sochora will introduce new research trends and projects. With Masaryk University and Palacký University in Olomouc, the SHM company works on the task of manufacturing so-called metallic glass in the form of thin films and coatings. With Masaryk University, they also collaborate in the research of determinating of ionization degree of sputter particles during magnetron sputtering deposition.
