Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to the upcoming workshop focused on the millimeter interferometer ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array) and especially on the use of its ever-expanding archive of scientific data and on working with this data. The workshop will take place in Prague on March 14-15, 2021, and is intended for students and the local scientific community. It is organized by the Czech node of the European ALMA Regional Center network, which is operated as the research infrastructure EU-ARC.CZ by the Astronomical Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with ESO.
Workshop registration and more information can be found at www.asu.cas.cz/alma/workshop2022. Registration deadline is on March 01, 2022.
The program will include a theoretical and practical introduction to the preparation of observing proposals, a tutorial on the online ALMA Science Archive, an overview of the user support offered, and a presentation of the most important scientific results. An important part will be hands-on sessions on imaging and working with data from the ALMA archive.
We are also organizing this workshop on the occasion of the upcoming call for proposals for ALMA Cycle 9. The call will be open on March 24, 2022, and the deadline for submission of proposal will be on April 21, 2022.
