We use plasma-chemical models for the modeling of various types of discharges. Their goal is to describe the interaction between different particles in plasma and determine the concentration of these particles in time. In this lecture, the speaker will introduce the basics of plasma chemistry. You will be guided to where and how to gain relevant kinetic data for plasma modeling. The complexity of plasmachemical models and their applicability for determining relevant plasma parameters will be shown in the case of three low-temperature discharges in pure nitrogen.
