The event on Facebook was followed by 6 400 people. Attendees filled out 2 300 cards. In totoal, 375 was the number of science animators and promoters.
All three physics departments came together under one stand and showed what physics and physics research are about to adults and kids. There were demonstrations of light polarization, magnetic materials, liquid nitrogen experiments, 3D electron microscope images, quizzes, water rocket launching, sun observation, virtual reality, demonstration of an electrical discharge and the power of low pressure.
More than fifteen promoters from MUNI physics students and staff provided engaging explanations throughout the three days of the festival. Physics is attractive to young and old alike. You can already look forward to the next Science Festival from 5-7 September 2025.
