Clean Room Laboratory for Silicon Device Technology and Microelectronics
The laboratory helps to educate students of physics and microelectronics in a state-of-the-art clean room environment to better prepare them for a career in high tech. Basic research and development is also be perfomed at the new lab. Looking to the future, the facility may also be utilized to support the needs of other advanced technology industries.Total area of the three rooms is 120 m2 with measured clean class 100 (ISO 5).

Project of the laboratory is supported thanks to the company onsemi (ON Semiconductor Czech Republic), which is situated in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and produces silicon wafers, silicon carbide wafers, and chips. For students of physics, chemistry it offers summer stays and work applications in research, development and production of semiconductor materials anc chips.
