Pavel Konečný – How does the helicopter fly?

Franklin Davis Robinson (1930-2022), the founder of Robinson Helicopter Company, died last year. His company has become the most successful manufacturer of helicopters in the world within 50 years. At its beginning, it was a small garage company. Mr. Robinson's motto had been: "Make things simpler." The speaker will outline Mr. Robinson as a pioneer in the aerospace industry, his life story, and the success of his technical achievements. From the view of high school physics, we will try to understand how a helicopter flies and sometimes fall.
