Physics in Business 2025 – Meopta

We cordially invite you to the lecture in F5900 Physics in Business. The lecture is for the general public. Libor Úlehla will introduce the Meopta company.

Meopta is a world-leading optics manufacturer specialising in the design, development, construction, manufacture and assembly of optical, opto-mechanical and optoelectronic systems. It offers customers worldwide complete and innovative solutions in consumer, industrial and military applications. 

The lecture will first introduce Meopta in its complexity and then focus in particular on the R&D division, where it will provide insights into the development process of opto-mechanical devices. Using the example of a photolithographic lens design, it will demonstrate this development process and focus on the physical aspects and challenges that face such new product development. Finally, the end of the presentation we will discuss available job posititions for physics graduates at Meopta and what forms of cooperation can be realized even before graduation.
