Assoc. Prof. Věra Mazánková - Antibacterial films on polyoxazoline base

Polyoxazolines (POx) are new polymer materials. In recent years, they have attracted researchers with their antibacterial properties and good biocompatibility. Thin films on POx base can be prepared by plasma polymerization. Studied POx films were deposited by various discharge configurations at atmospheric pressure. Suitable discharge for plasma deposition at atmospheric pressure is the Townsend discharge type (APTD). The APTD is a homogeneous dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). The speaker will present experimental results from deposited film diagnostics.
