Dean's Awards 2022

Tomáš Kašparovský, the dean of the Faculty of Science, awarded the best students of the Faculty of Science MU. From the Department of Physical Electronics, dr. Tereza Schmidtová and dr. Miroslav Šnírer were awarded. From the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics was awarded Tomáš Plšek. From study program Physics, also a biophysicist Lukáš Sukeník was also awarded.

Dean Tomáš Kašparovský has presented awards to the best students of the MU Faculty of Science. This year’s Dean’s Awards were presented to four laureates from the study program Physics. In the category of Best Student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s study program, Tomáš Plšek was distinguished. In the category of Best Student in the Doctoral study program were distinguished students Tereza Schmidtová, Miroslav Šnírer, and Lukáš Sukeník. A list of all winners can be found here.

Tomáš Plšek, currently a student of the Doctoral study program Physics, field Astrophysics, was awarded for his excellent diploma thesis “The relation between the Bondi accretion rate and jet power in giant elliptical galaxies”. Dr. Tereza Schmidtová, a graduate of the Doctoral study program Physics, field Plasma Physics, was awarded for exceptional scientific results within the dissertation thesis “Development and study of hybrid PVD-PECVD process”. Dr. Miroslav Šnírer, a fresh graduate of the Doctoral study program Physics, field Plasma Physics, was awarded for superb presentation of his results and excellent scientific work within his doctoral study on the topic “Diagnostics and applications of atmospheric pressure microwave plasma”.

Lukáš Sukeník, currently a student of the Doctoral study program Physics, field Biophysics, was awarded for exceptional scientific results within his doctoral study on the topic “Computer simulations of biomolecular system arrangements” and for his science popularization efforts.
