- 20 April 2024 – The Earth Day – Plant health - What harms and what benefits plants? Do you know the pests? Can plants defend themselves? Can you tell when your plant is hungry? Have you ever seen a plant vampire? Can physics be useful in protecting plants? This event is for children and adults.

- 18 March 2024 – 14:00 - 16:00 – The role of student representatives in program council: workshop and experience sharing – You will learn not only about the function of program council, but also about various other ways to influence the shape and quality of studies at Masaryk University from the perspective of students.

- 10 April 2024 – 15:00 - 16:00 – Science Talk: „Drugs of natural origin“ – Come to find out how many medicines have their origin in nature! Medicines of natural origin are the longest used medicines. It is far from just herbal teas. Natural medicines are a very broad group of medicines that can originate from plants, animals, micro-organisms or even non-living nature.

- 9 April 2024 – 11th National conference of transfer – The theme of the conference is the reform of knowledge transfer in the Czech Republic. The presenters' contributions will focus on the reform itself and some of its aspects. The conference will also include panel discussions on selected topics.

- 24 April 2024 – 16:00 - 17:30 – How to: Interview – Which areas should you talk about in an interview to highlight your strengths while appearing natural? Let's take a look at the most common interview questions you may encounter and how to respond to them.
- 29 April 2024 – 16:00 - 17:30 – How to: zvládání stress and mental welbeing – Participants will learn about various stress management techniques to help them reduce anxiety and increase productivity during the exam period.

- 13 March 2024 – 17:00 – You are not alone: a session on inappropriate behaviour on campus – Presentation of the results of the survey, introduction of the MU ombudsman, tips on where to turn in case of problems, moderated discussion.
- 3 April 2024 – 16:00 – The world through the eyes of Japanese Language – In a comparison with commonly known European languages, Japanese may appear to be a strange and unusual language. It may surprise you that in terms of basic sentence sequence, Japanese is one of the world's most common languages. This lecture will focus on cultural specifics of the Japanese, place them in a typological context and try to explain how the Japanese conceptualize the world.
- 1 April - 19 June 2024 – Genealogic course – Ten follow-up meetings every Wednesday from 16:00 to 17:00. Topics: Family memory, available sources, reading Kurrent, genealogy tools, military sources, genetic genealogy, photographs and maps, occupations, etc.

The installation of the DCSBD plasma device at the Fraunhofer Institute in Potsdam, Germany, is completed. The decision to reinstall the device was based on the positive outcomes from their earlier research. This collaboration is part of the R2R Net Consortium and was supported by Roplass, a spin-off from Masaryk University. The process was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dušan Kováčik, PhD. and Stefan Kröpke, with the installation handled by researchers Dr. Jakub Kelar and Roman Přibyl.

Anna Podmanická is a scientific talent of the Slovak Academy of Sciences
Anna Podmanická from the Jur Hronec highschool in Bratislava won several awards at this year's AMAVET 2024 Science and Technology Festival. She worked on her project with František Zažímal at the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology.
