In the spring semester you can now enrol in the following new courses:

  • F6101 Arduino in a laboratory – This course from Assoc. Prof. Pavel Slavíček will introduce Arduino from the basic properties, programming and modules. Part of the course is solving several tasks with Arduino. The course is open to students of any discipline.
  • F5210 Popularization of physics – The course from Dr. Tereza Schmidtová offers students new skills and experience in communicating about physics to a variety of audiences. It is designed for anyone interested in working with the public and includes soft skills development, social media content creation, and video production. The course emphasises hands-on engagement with students and encouraging curiosity and understanding of physics in society. The course is open to students of any major.
  • CORE185 Materials and mankind – Prof. Petr Vašina prepared a new course as a part of the univeristy common core. All of us are surrounded by various materials, both natural and manufactured, in everyday life. The course aims to introduce students to the laws governing the world of materials. In an accessible manner requiring only basic high school knowledge, considerations and key scientific experiments that have demonstrated the atomic nature of matter will be explained. What materials carried humans from ancient times to modern society? Learn about the manufacturing processes of classical and modern materials.​
  • F7840 Transmission electron microscopy – Brno is the city of (not only) electron microscopy, and this course is devoted to TEM. The topics will be presented by experts from Academy of Sciences and CEITEC MU.
  • F8810 Microscopy practice II – The practice of TEM and high-tech optical microscopy is the subject of this practical course.
