We cordially invite you to the seventh lecture from the F5900 Physics in Business course. The lecture is for general public. Zděnek Kvítek from E.ON will speak about the current topic in energetics and the company as an employer. Zděnek Kvítek is a physics graduate. He is employed as an Enterprise Architect for Energy Network for the Czech Republic.

E.ON provides energy for more than 50 million customers in 17 European countries. In the Czech Republic, E.ON deals mainly with the distribution, electricity, and gas market. Energy accessibility is a predisposition to civilization's evolvement. Society should be able to give access to energy to each of its citizens. In the past, the focus was on developing energetics and economic growth. In recent years the focus shifted toward sustainability and respect for the environment. The E.ON company has a care system for its young employees so they can easily work in an international corporate environment. What are employment options for physics graduates?

The speaker will talk about electric grid analysis, electricity quality, supply reliability, and testing. Energetics is a dynamically evolving field. It also deals with complex digitalization and safety. The lecture will also include topics about data smart grids, smart metering, smart cities and AI, and computer models, including energetic analysis on quantum computers.
