How does the pea look in a microscale?

RNDr. Zlata Kelar Tučeková, PhD. from the Department of Physical Electronics took unusual surface images of pea by an electron microscope. A final color image is a part of the Czech exposition at World EXPO 2020, currently open in Dubai. Masaryk University's contribution presents Gregor Johann Mendel.

An exposition Mystery of knowledge can be seen from 1st of March till 15th of March 2022 at the Czech pavilion at World EXPO 2020 in Dubai. World EXPO 2020 in Dubai was postponed due Covid pandemic to a new date, from 1st of October 2021 to 31st of March 2022.

Masaryk University and Mendel Museum prepared this exposition together with the National Technical Museum and National Library of the Czech Republic. The legacy of Gregor Johann Mendel is presented next to the legacy of Otto Wichterle and Jaroslav Heyerovský.

Special projection DNA Fiber Wall is placed in the exposition Mendel Primacy. It imitates DNA fiber structure and a world in a microscale. Colored surface images of pea taken by RNDr. Zlata Kelar Tučeková, PhD. from the Department of Physical Electronics complete the view into microscale.
