12 Jun 2023 MU astrophysicists inaugurate largest telescope in Moravia AZ 800, a new university telescope, will be used mainly for teaching students of astrophysics and for astronomical observations. It is a joint project of the town of Ždánice and the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics of the MU Faculty of Science.

22 May 2023 Corentin Bajon studies reaction mechanisms of dielectric barrier discharges at DPE French Ph.D. student Corentin Bajon has arrived at the Department of Physical Electronics for the second time within the MOBILITY project. His research focuses on dielectric barrier discharges in carbon dioxide atmosphere and understanding various reaction mechanisms of said discharge.

24 Apr 2023 Sensorics for the 21st Century project is launched From March 2023, a new project Sensorics for the 21st Century is launched. Scientists from Prof. Petr Vašina's research group Deposition of Thin Films and Nanostructures and CEPLANT centre will work on this project until June 2026. They will develop new sensors for industrial applications with co-investigators of the MATCA National Centre of Competence.
