2024 Garden Festival

6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This year's Garden Festival at the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science will be the 20th and also the last one. The Botanic Garden will no longer continue to host this event. Come and say goodbye on Thursday, August 1, from 6 to 9 pm.

ESCAMPIG 2024

Conference ESCAMPIG (Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics and Ionized Gases) will be held in Czechia for the first time in Brno at Božetěchova campus of Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology. Department of Plasma Physics and Technology of Masaryk University, the CEPLANT center, and the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists are the event organizers.

We share the invitation to a lecture by Prof. Petr Kulhánek. The topic is the discoveries that are changing contemporary physics and astronomy: the genesis of magnetic fields in the Universe, atoms inside atoms, neutrino maps of the Earth and the Galaxy, pulsars hunting gravitational waves, hollow black holes, Parker Probe in the atmosphere of the Sun, the equivalence principle under the microscope and more.

You can expect puzzles with Vítězslav Koudelka, a tic-tac-toe game with Jakub Horák, and many other mathematical, logical, and physical games.

MUNI Day 2024

The event at the University Campus Bohunice is a sports and social gathering across the entire university. The CEPLANT Centre and the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology accompany the MUNI Day with the opening of an exhibition on plasma research and applications. The exhibition has so far only been on display in the Dean's Office building on the Kotlářská 2 campus. Students and MUNI staff can come and see a hands-on demonstration of what plasma technology can do.
